Ninety-Ninth Reunion – March 2, 2024
The Eastern Arkansas Scottish Rite Bodies held their Spring Reunion on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
The 99th Reunion was dedicated to the memory of Illustrious Byron Ponder, 33°, who died January 4, 2022.

J. Byron Ponder began his Masonic Career in October 1984, initiated as Entered Apprentice. He was passed to the degree of Fellowcraft in November 1984, and raised a Master Mason on December 11th, 1984. Byron was a member of Forrest City Lodge #198 and Rensellear Vann Lodge #494. He served as Past Master for both lodges.
Byron was a recipient of the Arkansas Grand Lodge Pillars of Solomon Award for his dedicated service to the fraternity. He was proficient in all of the ritual work and was a certified lecturer and instructor for the Arkansas Grand Lodge. He received the Grand Lodge Medal of Honor in 2018. Byron joined the Scottish Rite and was given the title of Inspector General Honorary 33° Mason. He served as Wise Master for the Valley of Jonesboro and Personal Representative to the S.G.I.G.
